THE HELICOPTER PILOT

Model ( Stefan Mechaelis ) asked me to take

some shots of him while he was flying his choppa,

so he could use those images for his CV and I got a free

Helicopter Ride ... Sometimes I think you have a great live

as a photographer you get to meet new people all the

time and sometimes you even get lucky and score a flight.

HEHE... I tryed to make a Panoramic pic out of the choppa

While we where flying and yes I think it looks ok !

After we landed somewhere in a lost area I took a shoot

of stefan flying past me and right after that he just

landed right an front of me " Where I thought SH.@!!

he is so close he is going to chop of my head ...

But lucky I just drop onto the ground

and took some nice shoots there " !!!

Weel but Overall Big Thanks

again Stefan for that Flight I did realy Enjoy Flying With u !!!

This Theme is not so Typical my Style but

I enjoyed working on a Project like this and I think as a

good Photographer you should have the skill to do anything.

I Photographed the forest in early morning while the fog was still

hang in it .. and placed the model in with photoshop.

On This Image we used

One Flash Light straight at the subject and a good work

in Photoshop added some Textures and red eye Effect .

Glenfiddich Whiskey

Glenfiddich Whiskey - So strong it will break your Glass .

I used a big Black sheet With a kind of Triangle cut out

to get the light in this shape .. used a normal whiskey glass

and made it look Broken in Photoshop..

Hehe yes I did think of braking the glass

and then shoot it ,but how will do

something like that braking a expensive whiskey glass..

is not worth it.. so Once again Photoshop played a big roll.

Playstation - Boys

Crazy Playstation Players it is all about Wining The Football

Game..If you think you are wining, you are lossing it stay

focused and play ..Hate The player not the game .

I used a good setup with some strip lights on the left and right

side and some front lighting to lighten up there faces a

bit we used a green geel on the light to creat a

greenish effect That Normaly comes from the

tv screen ...

Fresh - Beer - Camelthorn Brewing

One of the Finest Namibian beers Brewed with a passion.

CAMELTHORN BREWING... I was asked to do some Nice

product shots of the Camelthorn Beer FRESH .. again i used my

Black sheet with the triangle and some Orange light brushes in

Photoshop to create that flyby look . The Bottle reflections

came with a glossy bottom.

Stefan Sander ( Model ) The FOOTBALL player Theme was The Power of Light ..May the light shine on all South African supporters and players during Fifa 2010. We had a good shooting section in studio and combined it with a outdoor shoot of the Green Point stadium at night again I used a 50mm/lens at f9 an some lights/..A good section in PP - Post Production and was a fun shoot again ... Thanks to my crew and Model Stefan ..

Anti - Drug - Campine -STOP - DRUGS

The Cocaine Dealer on his new mission to bring his cocaine

into our homes ! This Images was also photographed for

the ANTI-DRUG-BOOK to let addictive People see what controlled there lives.. and get a message to wake up and relays that it is not worth it to take these drugs.. Again I used a 2-Light setup and a big reflector to bring some front lighting onto the model and worked a lot in photoshop to give it a grunge effect and make the models skin look very bad.. because that is what cocaine does !!!!!

The Magic Book

Once you opened the magic book there is no stopping

anymore !! It will suck you in ,and lets you forget everything

around you ! I had this crazy idea one night to just shot

someone with a glowing book in his hand and walking

in a doggie street ! I used a 2-light setup with one on

camera flash unit and taped a piece of purple geel

to get that purple light on the models face and a

cross lighting to get that light strips on his jacket.

was a fun shoot and thanks to Model

Oreit so, we made

this setup to show people the reality.

First we tried to find a really odd place to

shoot this scene. Then got a Model Witch does

not take this stuff it was just tobacco rolled like a J.

So To the Photographic Part...

We used a good 3- light setup.. Left, Right and Front Light

Left and Right used two strip lights - Front light big 1,5m Octabox

on a Black Backdrop in studio !! For the Window we went on

Location Scouting Again and found a old factory in Woodstock

which had oldish windows that we could use as a

Background to make it more scary...

Not My favorite Beer but enjoyed work with it

and it does taste lekker so

if you haven't tried it yet ,

Used a big pool that we build with some black plastic and

a 2-light setup with strip lights and a lot of reflecting paper

and water to get the splashes and reflections .

Windhoek Draught

Windhoek Draught - Yes I must

admit this is my Favourite Beer maybe because

I am used to drink this at Home in Namibia … I think

One of the best beers ever .. has to be they won the

German competition in the category REINHEITSGEBOT best

German Beer brewed outside of Germany.

Was a good shoot with the pool again and used a 2-light

setup and a big front reflector to get a good exposure one the label .

Street Racer

The best street racer Namibia has to offer..
Was a good and fast shoot - 3 light setup and no refectors or assitanse on location
only me and Marcel ( Model ) was fun and enjoyed working in a very clean workshop.Hope that Image will make Your Workshop look Pretty.
Used a 24-70mm/lens at f9 + Some light setup .

Namibian Police Officer

Hey Mr. Officer You look like a MOVIE STAR ...

The namibian police wanted me to shoot the new brochure of the 2010 National police escort. One of their Best OFFICERS,stood to my Command and was realy easy and Lekka to work with. The shoot went quite quick and I did not realy have any problems using my new light - kit outside ( ON LOCATION ) and overall, I was realy happy with the end result of my work ,as you guys can see,the top image looks NICE !

Shooting took place in the quarry nearby my flat. I shoot alot in studio an on location to make this image possible. Which lead me into my new Image style and let the my Work feel more aggressive and have a Grunge effect to it. shoot on a standart 50mm/lens at f11 and lights help out asweel. The Farm Boy

Regert Roos ( Model ) Played the rool of the Lost Farm Boy trying to fix his Lenses which looked more like a disaster than anything else. Used a shutter of 160/sec at f9 and 2 lights for this studio shoot ! Was a fun shoot to work on and i love to push that creativity level to some more and better ideas !

EeS a namibian music artist with his shaggen waggen we wanted to create an african look with his kind of style representing Ees in Namibia..The Nam Flava way .. for the EeS - album 2010 ...was a good sunny day with nice clouds and a good sence .. reflectors and diffusers where necessary plus flash and a good work with my trypot for the panoramic style ...

Tessa Jay Syme - Garage shooting

HeHe The shooting with the red couch the model ( Tessa ) was quite easy to work with and had good posing skills well one of my crew members hade to try it also and ja looks good !! We managed to work with only one flash head and a big silver reflector some diffusers.

Mona Tjingaete - Burned House Shooting

Beautifully Mona ( Model ) had to make fashion look good in an burned down house. was a quite unsafe place for a shooting but we managed to shoot it ,worked with one flash strobe ,refelctor and a lot of ugly smell. Thanks to Patrick for assisting me !

Bianca Fleiss - Underwater shooting

Bianca ( Model ) yes overall was it very cold and wett ,but new style of shooting not only for me but for the model aswell. we used a underwater hosing kit for a nikon d2x and 2 light flashes and a lot of air !! The model itself just had to go up and down to get air wich was great so i could take some more shots and overall we managed to stay warm and everything worked out good.
